もし彼らがアッラーを信じ、畏怖畏敬していたならば、アッラーからの報酬はもっと良いものになっていたでしょう。
敬虔な信者は、アッラーからの訓示に従い行動することで、様々な利を得ることができるでしょう。
クルアーン（Sarah adh－Dhariyat、55）
「訓戒しなさい。訓戒は信者たちを益する。」
それは人徳を得ることかもしれないし、知識を得ることかもしれません。
いずれにしても常に努力することが必要なのです。
ただアッラーに自分の益を祈るのではなく、アッラーの訓示に従い努力することが繰り返し述べられています。
日本には「楽あれば苦あり。苦あれば楽あり」ということわざがあります。
人生善いことばかりではない、またつらいことばかりでもない。怠けて楽ばかりしていると、あとで大変な思いをすることになる、つらくても努力すれば、努力が実って必ず良い結果を得ることが出来る、という教訓も含んだことわざです。
また苦労した人は、その分喜びも大きく、得るものも多いという意味です。
イスラム教発祥のアラビア圏にも同様な意味のことわざで「ある日はハチミツ、ある日はタマネギ」ということわざがあります。楽＝ハチミツ、苦＝タマネギを表します。
たゆまず努力することが大切という教えは、どこの国も共通の教えということですね。

If they had believed in Allah and been in awe of Him, their reward from Allah would have been better.
The pious believers would have gained various benefits by acting in accordance with Allah’s instructions.

And Allah says: “Admonish (the believers). Preaching benefits the believers.”
It may be to gain virtue, or it may be to gain knowledge.
It is always necessary to strive.
It is repeatedly stated that we should not just pray to Allah for our own good, but strive to follow Allah’s instructions.
In Japan, there is a saying, “Where there is ease, there is pain.
Life is not always good, and it is not always hard. If you are lazy and take it easy all the time, you will have a hard time later on.
It also means that those who have worked hard will be overjoyed and gain a lot from their efforts.
In Arabia, where Islam originated, there is a proverb with a similar meaning: “One day is honey, the next day is onions. Ease = honey, pain = onion.
The importance of tireless effort is a common teaching in all countries.
