Muslimにとって金曜日は特別な日です。
日本における一般的な休日は土曜日・日曜日ですが、イスラム圏は「金曜日」を休日とする国が多いようです。
最初の人間アダムは「金曜日」に神によって創られました。そして「金曜日」に楽園に入ることを許され、楽園を追放されたのも「金曜日」でした。また、いずれ来たる最後の審判の日も「金曜日」に来るとされています。
復活の日、最後の啓典を信じるMuslimは他の民よりも先だって楽園に入ることが許されるとされており、そのために「金曜日」は特別な礼拝の日として定められています。
また、預言者ムハンマドが聖地メッカに入城したのも「金曜日」とされており、この日を記念とする意味合いもあります。
これらの理由から、金曜日はMuslimにとって特別な日とされています。
この特別な金曜日に、Muslimは集団礼拝を行います。男性は集団礼拝への参加が義務になっています。女性は任意の参加とされています。（子供・病人・旅行者も参加義務はありません。）
金曜の集団礼拝は正当な理由なく欠席することは許されません。何ら理由なく連続3回以上集団礼拝を怠るものは、Allahによって心を塞がれるとされています。
金曜の集団礼拝の成立要件
１，他の礼拝と同様、決められた時間外での礼拝は無効です。（金曜日の集団礼拝は正午直後からDhuhrの時間に行います）
２，独りでの礼拝は無効。最低3人以上からの礼拝が必要です。
３，礼拝前に２つのホトバ（説法）があること。
４，近隣住民であること。（旅行者がアザーン（礼拝前に礼拝時間に入ったことを告げる呼びかけのこと）を耳にした場合は、礼拝への参加義務が生じます。）
アザーンとイカーマ
アザーンは礼拝の時間に入ったことを告げる呼びかけ、イカーマは礼拝を開始するという呼びかけを指し、第二のアザーンとも呼ばれます。
金曜礼拝のアザーンとイカーマは、礼拝を忘れていた人や、モスクまでの所要時間が少しかかる人が十分な準備をする時間を設けるために、1時間程度間隔をあけるのが良いとされています。
礼拝
１ラカート ＝ 直立礼 ➡ 屈折礼 ➡ 平伏礼 ➡ 座礼
金曜日の礼拝は２ラカート行います。
金曜日の礼拝に遅れて参加し、イマームと１ラカート実施できた人は、他の人が礼拝終了後も、自身1人で、残りの１ラカートを実施してから、礼拝を終了します。
遅れてやってきて、１ラカートもイマームと共に実施できなかった場合には、礼拝をJumu’ahではなく、Dhuhrに変更し、一人で ４ラカート実施します。
イスラム教では五行の一つに礼拝があり、その中でもとりわけ集団礼拝は重要視されています。信仰の深さの確認・礼拝をすることにより神からの恩恵がある、ということだけではなく、集団礼拝は多くの人出があるため、なかなか会えない友人との再会の場であったり、Muslim同士の絆を深める交流の場となっています。
Jumu’ah
Friday is a special day for Muslims.
Generally, holidays in Japan are Saturdays and Sundays, but many Muslim-majority countries have holidays on Fridays.
The first human Adam was created by God on “Friday”. And it was on “Friday” that he was allowed to enter paradise and was expelled from paradise. It is also said that the coming day of judgment will come on “Friday”.
On the Day of Resurrection, Muslims who believe in the Last Scripture are allowed to enter paradise before other peoples, so “Friday” is designated as a special day of worship.
In addition, it is said that the Prophet Muhammad entered the holy city of Mecca on “Friday”, so there is also a meaning to commemorate this day.
For these reasons, Friday is a special day for Muslims.
On this special Friday, Muslims hold congregational prayers. Men are obliged to attend congregational prayers. Participation by women is voluntary. (Children, sick people and travelers are not obliged to participate.)
Friday congregational services are not allowed to be absent without good reason. Those who fail to perform congregational prayers more than three times in a row without any reason are said to be blocked by Allah.
Requirements for holding a group worship service on Friday
1, As with other prayers, prayers outside of the designated time are invalid. (Friday congregational prayers are held at Dhuhr time from just after noon)
2, Prayer alone is invalid. Worship from at least 3 people is required.
3,There should be two khutba (sermons) before the prayer.
4,Be a neighbor. (If a traveler hears an adhan (a call to announce that it is time to pray before prayer), they are obliged to participate in the prayer.)
Adhan and Iqama
The adhan is the call to announce that it is time to pray and the iqama is the call to start the prayer, also known as the second adhan.
It is recommended that the Adhan and Iqama on Friday prayers should be separated by about an hour to allow enough time for those who have forgotten to pray or who need a little time to get to the mosque.
Prayer
Friday prayers are 2 rakat.
Those who join Friday prayers late and are able to perform 1 rakat with the imam, even after others have finished the prayer, perform the remaining 1 rakat by themselves before ending the prayer.
If he arrives late and fails to perform one rakat with the imam, he changes the prayer to Dhuhr instead of Jumu’ah and alone he performs four rakat.
Prayer is one of the five elements in Islam, and group worship is especially important among them. Not only is it possible to confirm the depth of one’s faith and to receive blessings from God by praying, but also it is a place to reunite with friends who are difficult to meet because of the large number of people attending group worship. It is a place of interaction that deepens the bond between each other.
